Record-state visualization

Why the GoGuides Favicon System exists

GoGuides publishes richer machine-readable evidence than a tiny browser or result surface can display. The favicon is a deterministic visual projection of supported GoGuides record state: a compact cue that deeper evidence exists and may deserve inspection. It is not a truth certificate, safety guarantee, ownership claim, or downstream source-use decision.

The problem

Small interfaces hide deeper evidence

Browser tabs, search results, monitoring dashboards, and agent interfaces have limited space. A consumer may need a lightweight indication that current GoGuides state exists before retrieving the full record.

The mechanism

Record state becomes visible

GoGuides renders a deterministic marker from supported resolved inputs. The site being observed does not choose the production marker's rank, grade, timestamp, or public eligibility.

The outcome

A cue for deeper inspection

The marker can help a human or machine notice that state exists or changed, then inspect GoGuides history, evaluation, provenance, and other evidence before making its own decision.
