GoGuides is built to be useful without surveillance-style advertising. We don’t sell personal data, we don’t run third-party ad networks, and we don’t track you across the web.
1. What we collect
Anonymous visitors (not logged in)
Most people use GoGuides without logging in. For anonymous visitors, we do not ask for your name, and we do not run third-party analytics that track you across websites.
Like nearly all websites, our servers may receive limited technical information such as:
- IP address (used for security/abuse prevention)
- Browser/device type (to support compatibility and debugging)
- Date/time of requests
- Errors/performance signals (to keep the service stable)
This data is used for security, reliability, and abuse prevention — not for ad targeting, cross-site tracking, or building marketing profiles. Operational logs rotate and are not intended for long-term retention.
Logged-in users
If you create a GoGuides account for domain, verification, Live Index, Bot Radar, or related owner tools, we store the information needed to operate the account securely (for example: username, authentication data, domain associations, and security-related access information).
We do not use account activity for behavioral advertising. We use it for normal account security, fraud prevention, and abuse response.
2. Cookies and local preferences
GoGuides uses minimal storage, only when needed:
- Login session cookies (only if you log in)
- Security protections (to reduce automated abuse)
- Preference storage (for example, night mode may be stored in your browser)
We do not use advertising cookies, fingerprinting scripts, or third-party tracking pixels.
3. Searches and quality signals
To improve quality and protect the service, GoGuides may analyze searches and interactions in aggregate (for example: to detect spam patterns, rate-limit abuse, and measure performance).
We are building GoGuides to be user-first. Signals are used to improve results and safety — not to build cross-site profiles or sell targeted advertising.
4. Website submissions and Live Index inclusion
If you submit a website for evaluation or Live Index inclusion, we may store:
- The submitted URL or domain
- Contact or account information you provide
- Evaluation outcomes such as AI Rank, grade, eligibility, policy state, and inclusion status
- Payment-confirmation details needed to operate an approved Live Index submission
This information is used to process submissions, operate related owner services, and maintain platform records. It is not sold to advertisers.
GoGuides may also independently crawl and observe publicly accessible domains that were never submitted or paid for. Public web observations and provenance data are separate from personal account and payment information.
5. Payment processing
GoGuides Live Index submission and related service payments are processed through PayPal. GoGuides does not collect or store credit card numbers or bank account information.
PayPal may provide limited receipt details required to confirm payment. Sensitive financial data is handled under PayPal’s own policies.
6. Data sharing
GoGuides does not sell, rent, or trade personal data to advertisers, marketing companies, or outside ad networks.
GoGuides may license or provide access to non-personal web and domain intelligence data derived from public website crawling, observation, provenance, and historical measurement systems. This may include technical domain and page signals such as URLs, DNS, TLS, redirects, robots state, content fingerprints, crawl observations, and change history.
Web and domain intelligence licensing is separate from personal-data collection. We may also disclose information if required by valid legal process (for example, a subpoena or court order).
7. Third-party websites
GoGuides search results, domain records, provenance pages, machine-readable interfaces, and other public surfaces may link to external websites. GoGuides does not control how those sites collect or use data. Please review the privacy policies of any site you visit.
