Use GoGuides as web-evidence infrastructure
GoGuides independently observes public web sources and exposes machine-readable evidence about source identity, observed state, historical change, verification, provenance, GoGuides-derived assessment, bounded analysis, and source-use context.
This page is the human-readable capability map. Machines should start with
/machine-use.json and the
OpenAPI 3.1 contract.
Machine discovery freshness
/machine-use.json carries a
body-level freshness contract so machine consumers can identify stale discovery copies.
The discovery_document.revision and
discovery_document.updated_at_utc values change only when the discovery
document itself changes; they do not change merely because the same document is fetched again.
The origin advertises a five-minute cache lifetime for /machine-use.json.
Consumers that require current capability discovery should revalidate after that interval
and may compare the body-level revision or update timestamp across fetches.
Apache also supplies Last-Modified for conditional revalidation.

Cache-replay canary
If a consumer suspects that a retrieval tool, proxy, or intermediary is replaying stale bytes,
use the public GET-only cache-replay canary. Generate a new unique nonce for each check,
request /selftest.json?nonce=<unique_nonce>, and require
echoed_nonce in the JSON response to exactly match the nonce just generated.
A matching nonce means GoGuides received that nonce and generated the response after receiving it. A mismatch means the consumer should not treat its retrieval layer as fresh, even if HTTP cache metadata appears valid. Do not reuse an old nonce when testing freshness.

Important interpretation boundary
GoGuides does not claim that every statement on an observed website is true, that every source
is safe for every use, or that an outside AI system will rank, cite, recommend, train on,
retrieve, transact with, or otherwise use a source. Consumers inspect the evidence and apply
their own policies.
