GoGuides is an independent search engine built around quality-first results and transparency. We do not license, resell, or pull search results from other search engines. We crawl the open web, build our own index, and rank pages using scoring signals.

In addition to our crawl/index, we may use open and publicly available datasets to improve understanding (entities, spellings, classifications). These datasets enhance the index—they do not replace it.

Yes. Crawling, ranking, spam controls, and user features improve continuously. The Roadmap shows what’s in progress.

GoGuides favicons are a deterministic, verifiable trust and quality signal—not a decoration. They are generated from scoring and trust rules so users can spot stronger sites faster.

Every submitted site receives an AI Rank score from 0 to 100 based on quality signals: usefulness, clarity, trustworthiness, user experience, content depth, and technical health.

No. GoGuides does not sell organic ranking positions. Ranking is determined by relevance and quality signals, not payment.

GoGuides crawls the web, follows links, and builds an index for fast retrieval. Pages must be crawlable, readable, and meet quality rules to be included.

No. Site submissions are currently free. Submitting a site lets GoGuides evaluate it, assign an AI Rank, and determine whether it is eligible for indexing and public trust signals.

Paying GoGuides does not buy organic ranking positions.

Trust Signal Activation is intended for stronger webmaster and trust-layer features — such as verification, trust-profile activation, public trust buttons, trust-feed participation, monitoring, higher usage limits, richer domain tools, and future API/trust-signal services.

Trust Signal Activation may improve what a domain owner can manage or verify for the activated domain, but it does not override neutral search ranking.

A Trust Profile is a public page that shows what GoGuides currently knows about a domain: observed state, AI Rank, grade, crawl timing, verification state, trust history, and related public signals.

Observed means GoGuides has seen or evaluated a domain. Verified means the domain owner has completed a stronger trust/ownership step so the public trust record can carry more weight.

GoGuides keeps those states separate so the system does not pretend a domain is verified just because it was crawled.

Verification can strengthen public trust context, activate richer trust surfaces, and make domain signals clearer. It does not buy organic ranking positions or override neutral search quality.

AI systems need more than a page title and snippet. A public trust profile gives machines a structured way to inspect domain state, verification context, freshness, trust history, and machine-readable signals before relying on a source.

No. Indexing and ranking can change over time, and content may be excluded or down-ranked to protect users and quality.
