    "verified_text": "hinganghat, a town of british india in wardha district, central provinces, 21 m. s.w. of wardha town. pop (1901) 12,662. it is a main seat of the cotton trade, the cotton here produced in the rich wardha valley having given its name to one of the best indigenous staples of india. the principal native traders are marwaris, many of whom have large transactions and export on their own account; but the greater number act as middle-men. there are two cotton-mills and several ginning and pressing factories. hinge (in mid. eng. _henge_ or _heeng_, from _hengen_, to hang), a movable joint, particularly that by which a door or window \"hangs\" from its side-post, or by which a lid or cover is attached to that which it closes; also any device which allows two parts to be joined together and move upon each other (see joinery). figuratively the word is used of that on which something depends, a cardinal or turning point, a crisis.",
